Vamberk

Template:Geobox Vamberk (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvambɛrk]; German: Wamberg) is a town in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has c. 4,800 inhabitants.
The city has been well known for lace production since the 17th Century.[1] In the mid-17th century, Magdalena Grambová, a Belgian owner of a local estate in Vamberk, introduced Belgian lace patterns and a new technique of bobbin lace making using a lace cushion or pillow. Vamberk became a European centre of lace-making.[1]
