Venegono Superiore is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Milan and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) southeast of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,809 and an area of 6.9 square kilometres (2.7 sq mi).[3]

The municipality of Venegono Superiore contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) San Martino, Pianasca, and Piambosco.

Venegono Superiore borders the following municipalities: Binago, Castiglione Olona, Vedano Olona, Venegono Inferiore.

Alenia Aeronautica has its head office in Venegono Superiore.[4]
