WVBI-LP is a Variety formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Beaver Island, Michigan, serving St. James, Michigan.[1] WVBI-LP is owned and operated by Preservation Association of Beaver Island.[3]

Programming

The station airs "The Cottage Mix" from 9am to 2pm, 7 days a week. The Cottage Mix consists of "Pop, Oldies, Country, Beaver Island Favorites and a little bit of jazz".[4] From Midnight to 6am, 7 nights a week, WVBI-LP airs "Jazz Night Watch", featuring various styles of Jazz music.[4]

Syndicated programming includes "Inside Europe",[5] "Living Planet",[6] and "WorldLink",[7] all from Deutsche Welle.[4] Other programs include "The International Americana Music Show",[8] "Celtic Connections",[9] and "Full Moon Hacksaw"[10] from Public Radio Exchange (PRX).[4] "The Midnight Special", hosted by Beaver Island resident Rich Warren, is heard from the WFMT Radio Network.[4][11]
