Wakakozake (Japanese: ワカコ酒, lit. "Wakako Sake") is an ongoing Japanese seinen manga series by Chie Shinkyu. It is serialized by Tokuma Shoten on Monthly Comic Zenon magazine beginning with the September 2011 issue;[1] it is also available on Web Comic Zenyon.[2] The series has eight volumes so far; the first volume was released in May 2013,[3] and the latest in August 2017.[4] It was adapted into a Japanese television drama[5] starring Rina Takeda, and an anime television series aired from July 5, 2015, to September 20, 2015.[6] The anime and drama are currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Wakako Zake Season 2 (2016) this live action was released on January 8, 2016, on TV Tokyo. Wakako Zake Season 3 (2017) this live action was released on April 7, 2017, on TV Tokyo.

Story

Murasaki Wakako, a 26 years old OL that loves nothing more than delicious food and drink. Wakako's favorite thing to do for relaxation is to go off by herself after work and go to various places to eat and drink, even if she's never been there before. The moment Wakako is able to taste the pairing between the food she wants to eat and the perfect accompanying drink, the happy sound of "Pshuuu" leaves her lips. Now, then. Where shall we drink tonight?

Season 1

Based on the manga Wakakosake Vol. 3 which began selling on August 2014.[8] Cast was announced in October of the same year.[9] TV Tokyo start broadcasting on January 8, 2015.[10]

An ordinary single woman who enjoys cooking and dining alone in the evenings, Ra Yeo Joo is an editor at a publishing house where she’s worked for the past ten years, while Lee Jae Yoon works in marketing at the same company. Their relationship is sometimes friendly, sometimes flirty, and sometimes competitive. They have different approaches to food: while she finds healing in food and drink, his goal in life is to live lean and long, until he discovers new pleasures and changes because of her.
