Fix the reference for Georgios Dritsakos in draft[edit]

I need help. Can you fix the right reference for Georgios Dritsakos? He is now Governor of the Hellenic Civil Aviation since 2020. I tried to put in Koinoniki in the news reference. 100.2.114.167 (talk) 01:46, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, IP user. You have put a date of "2020 May 2020". ColinFine (talk) 02:05, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

how to publish article[edit]

how to publish article ?? It takes too much time Onlygurdeep (talk) 05:48, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Onlygurdeep: Have a look at Help:Your first article. Read it carefully, and when you understand it, click the big blue button in it to open the article wizard. ~Anachronist (talk) 06:00, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Draft:Living India News has been previously declined at the draft stage. It won't become an article in the mainspace unless it meets the requirements such as having enough sourcing to make it notable.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 06:57, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to a visit by DPL bot[edit]

My new content on the page for Sickle Cell (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sickle_cell_disease) where, in the UK section, I cited an article in The Voice (British Newspaper NOT TV programme or other page) occasioned a visit from DPL bot. I assume I have to do something but, being a beginner and having searched many help pages, I still do not know what I need to do. Grateful for anybody with patience to explain. Or maybe the bot automatically fixed something so that I do not have to act? Balance person (talk) 10:25, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's not automatically fixed. As the message on your talk page says, you added a link to The Voice, which is a DAB page, inside your reference. Either give the name of the newspaper without attempting to link it, or pipe the link so it displays properly in the reference but still links to the correct article. Assuming the paper is The Voice (British newspaper) (and I have no idea if that is correct), the pipe would be: [[The Voice (British newspaper)|The Voice]] , which will display as The Voice but will still link to The Voice (British newspaper) Meters (talk) 10:48, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much for your clear prompt help! Balance person (talk) 20:19, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Need help editing a template[edit]

Could someone edit Template:WikiProject Apple Inc. so that missing B-class criteria no longer lead to the article being misclassified as C-class?

I checked Petscan and there are tons of articles with the class=B parameter that don't have the B-class criteria filled out, leading to C-class categorization, which messes up WP:WikiProject Apple Inc.'s assessment tracking. I'd rather the template be changed, to avoid creating mounds of unnecessary work for an already practically inactive WikiProject. Most related templates (WikiProject Computing, for example) don't behave like this.

I'd appreciate if you could also fix missing B-class criteria being treated as failed criteria (and added to the categories, e.g. Category:Apple Inc. articles needing attention to referencing and citation). It would be much nicer to have those categories only contain articles that we know are flawed, and have partially-rated or non-rated articles be in their own category (Category:Apple Inc. articles with incomplete B-Class checklists). About some information[edit]

Dear Sir,

How i Edit or delete wrong information from wikipedia. Rafi0014 (talk) 13:22, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rafi0014 Note that Wikipedia is edited by males and females, as well as people who identify differently. It would help to know what specifically you want to edit, but most articles are able to be edited by anyone. If it's not, you should comment on the associated article talk page. Either way, you should offer independent reliable sources to support your claims. 331dot (talk) 14:22, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Small edit[edit]

Hi there. I am trying to make a small edit to a site and when I publish I get the following:

An automated filter has identified this edit contains an email address, so it has been disallowed. If this edit is constructive, please report this error.

I have not included any email address in my edit. Can you assist?

Thanks. Sreiss600 (talk) 14:21, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Which article were you trying to edit, and what changes were you trying to make? AndyTheGrump (talk) 14:23, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sreiss600 (ec) What article are you trying to edit? Is there any component of an email address in your proposed edit(like @)? 331dot (talk) 14:25, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's this edit. The URL you're trying to add contains an email address. According to the log, it was only a warning, so you should be able to save the edit by clicking to save once more. However, based on your username, I suspect you may have a conflict of interest with regards to this person, in which case you should read and follow the relevant guidelines. In particular, you should avoid editing the article directly and rather make use of the edit request process. Madeline (part of me) 14:32, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Armenia–Ethiopia relations[edit]

Please help me by creating relations svg map of Ethiopia and Armenia for Armenia–Ethiopia relations. The Supermind (talk) 14:30, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Working Madeline (part of me) 14:50, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've uploaded and added one to the article, though Armenia is so tiny you can barely see it. I tried to find a blank svg map that's a bit more closely framed on Commons, but got none that include both Armenia and Ethiopia. Madeline (part of me) 15:29, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

edit information[edit]

I am logged in and do not see the "Edit" link in the upper right. Where exactly is it and do I just click on it to edit some erroneous information? Scector (talk) 17:54, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, which page do you want to edit? Since you're a new editor, there are a small subset of pages that have various levels of "protection" (see WP:PROTECT for the icons to look for and what each means) so you either need to have enough edits and been here long enough, and for higher levels be given special permissions. Skynxnex (talk) 18:41, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Scector: Once you can edit, the edit tab is at the top next to the "read" tab if you are using a web browser on a PC, btu in general it's easier to edit an individual section unless you wish to edit the very first sectin of the article. Each section has an "edit" thing at the far right of the section header. HOWEVER: do not remove or change information that is cited to a source, even if you believe it to be wrong, and if you add information, you must cite your new information to a source. See WP:RS. If there is a problem with information that is cited to a source, discuss the situation on the article's talk page. -Arch dude (talk) 18:45, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Scector: Seeing as this is the only edit you've made and this account was just created today, there's a very good chance you tried to edit a protected page as mentioned above. It's most likely that the page you're trying to edit is semi-protected, where accounts that are at least four full days old and have made at least ten edits are able to edit. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 00:36, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Neo-Confederates[edit]

I hope that didn't cause any controversy creating this category. NeoBatfreak (talk) 19:18, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello my name is Thedefender35 can you please explain what you mean by causing controversy by creating the article? Tdshe/her 19:22, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, because Neo-Confederates is practically parallel to Neo-Nazis, therefore could be controversal.— Preceding unsigned comment added by NeoBatfreak (talkcontribs) 19:23, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Was there any specific reason for you creating the new category?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Thedefender35 (talkcontribs) 19:25, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, to diffuse the categories Lost Cause of the Confederacy and American white supremist.— Preceding unsigned comment added by NeoBatfreak (talkcontribs) 19:27, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ok does it seem like the articles re going to be prone to vandalism? If so maybe Wikipedia:Requests for page protection woul be a good place to go. If not make sure to watch the articles and keep doing great! Tdshe/her 19:30, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I just worried if my new category might offense people.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 19:33, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Considering that Wikipedia is based off of information and not opinion the admins would not care if it offends them if it is proven via fact.Tdshe/her 19:39, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ethiopia–Poland relations[edit]

Again, please add a map for Ethiopia–Poland relations please. Sorry. The Supermind (talk) 21:15, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Done. You may want to ask at c:Commons:Graphic Lab/Map workshop in the future. Madeline (part of me) 21:32, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Surname Pages: Linking to pages in other languages[edit]

If there is an page for a specific individual, who does not have an English article, but has an article in another language, should a link to that article be added to the English surname page? I have read, that adding red links is allowed for notable people without articles, but I have not encountered any red or inter-language links on any surname page on the English Wikipedia yet. Other Wikis seem to use them quite frequently though. StrohIntegral (talk) 22:33, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi StrohIntegral. Convention may vary from Wikipedia to Wikipedia; so, you might want to ask about this at Wikipedia:WikiProject Anthroponymy to see what the common practice may be on English Wikipedia. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:29, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I will. StrohIntegral (talk) 23:32, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
