WW2 Cartoons

[edit]

Where can I find information on the extremely prejudiced American cartoons produced during WW2? I've looked at Merrie Melodies already, and it says nothing about all those episodes on YT thoroughly degrading Hitler and Stalin. ALTON .ıl 05:23, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Try Looney Tunes#The stereotypes, which mentions the anti-black Censored Eleven. There's also Der Fuehrer's Face, Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips and Herr Meets Hare. Thaaaaat's all I can think of, folks! Clarityfiend 05:31, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The first one on that list is what I was looking for. Thanks! ALTON .ıl 05:49, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Australian drag queen.

[edit]

How do I get my drag character on Wikipedia? My website is www.vanessawagner.com.au and I can be contacted there. Thankyou, Tobin Saunders AKA Vanessa Wagner.

Ideally, it should not necessary for you to do anything, someone will write about your if they think you're noteable enough. Looking at the webpage, your character may in fact be noteable enough to have an article however this is just an estimation, don't quote me on this. There are several routes you can go about this Wikipedia:Requested articles or Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/To-do is probably your best bet. However, whatever the case, make sure you specify that you're requesting an article on yourself. If it seems out of place to say this in the To-do list, just mention it in the talk page. Note however it should really matter as editors will decide for themselves whether an article is merited. But this does lead to an important point which is that editors may decide that no article is merited and even if they don't it may take a while. Unfortunately, there is no way you can speed up the process other then by helping out in articles not related to you, which may free up the time of contributors to write an article on you. Whatever you do, don't try to write an article on yourself, that's highly discouraged, check out Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. BTW, this isn't actually the best place for this kind of question. Try Wikipedia:Help Desk instead. Cheers 203.109.240.93 11:12, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Checklists?

[edit]

A fellow Wikipedia member suggested I search wikipedia for bibliographical checklists for the following series

Angel

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Charmed

I did a search for each title + Books and novels and fiction and non-fiction and It all appears to be grrek to me maybe I'm just doing something wrong, Any assistance would be greatly appreciated Bob <e-mail address removed> Prim88 12:11, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See:
Angel (TV series)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Charmed
Those will lead you to character biographies like:
Buffy Summers
Willow Rosenberg
Xander Harris
Angel (Buffyverse)
If, on the other hand, you want actor biographies, you will find links like:
Sarah Michelle Geller
Alyson Hannigan
Nicholas Brendon
David Boreanaz

Actually StuRat, he said Bibliographic not Biographic. Subtle, but important difference. ;-) Prim, see Buffy novels, Angel novels, (or Buffyverse novels, which incorporates both) and List of Charmed books. --Maelwys 18:46, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, time to increase my font size, I suppose. StuRat 19:44, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

damn anime name

[edit]

can someone tell me the name of that anime that is a comady & a horror that starts with an "H"? I really need to know! or can you at least give me the list of Animes starting with "H"?--Akemi2.0 17:22, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Check out Category:Anime. Corvus cornix 17:51, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Dunno if it fits your criteria, but Fullmetal Alchemist's Japanese name is Hagane no Renkinjutsushi, and it does have some comedy/horror elements, only one I could think of off the top of my head. Was it a series or an OVA? A link to lists of either type can be be found at the bottom of the Anime article. Cyraan 17:54, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Anime starting with H. Are you thinking of Hellsing? How exactly is it both horror and comedy though? Those are too genres that don't work together. Horror comedies (like Shaun of the Dead) are pretty much always comedies spoofing horror. Could you be more specific?--SeizureDog 18:27, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, i guess you could consider Seras a semi-comedic character at times. ~ lav-chan @ 07:58, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some people find hentai to be funny and/or horrifying. :-) StuRat 19:47, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto for Hello Kitty.--SeizureDog 21:30, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hole in the ground...?

[edit]

There was this program about a woman and a hole in the ground that was created by a meteor or something about 3 or 4 feet across in the back yard (full of lots of junk typical of some small share cropper yards or red neck country residences). When this woman and her companion brother or boyfriend fond this hole he ordered her to watch it while he went to get some equipment to see what was at the bottom of the hole. While he was gone she lowered some stuff on a rope and whatever or whoever was at the bottom sent some other stuff back up. Anyone know the name of this program? I don't think it was an Outer Limits program or a Twilight episode but could have been. Thanks in advance. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Leasing Agent (talkcontribs) 21:50, 12 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I remember seeing something like this where a metal spaceship hit a little hill, and there was some fog. I forgot what it was though, but I can see some of the scenes, and the rest match what you're saying. What I'm thinking of isn't a Twilight Zone episode since I've never watched them, but it might have been Tales From the Crypt or Outer Limits, or even a B-film. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 23:47, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If your movie's hill had a fence fencing off a sandpit, it was Invaders from Mars (1953 film) or the more-recent remake.
Atlant 16:25, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think that one is the one I saw, and it might be the one that Leasing Agent saw. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 17:37, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm almost 100% that it was not Tales.. since this was not creepy but the ending halarious. Although it made a point it was a little more subtle thatn Outer.. Seems like it may not have even been associated and if so with something that has a much wider range of topic and treatment. Diligent 00:47, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
