Ray Barnett's mom

[edit]

Who played the mother of Ray Barnett on an episode of ER (TV series)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.229.136.18 (talk) 00:39, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the final episode of last season, The Honeymoon Is Over, Ray's mother takes him home to Baton Rouge. Credited as playing "Jacy Barnett" in that episode is the actress Rosalee Mayeux [1] Rockpocket 07:53, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kane character

[edit]

I remember there was a movie about a boy named Kane and he was fond of medieval stuff and he had to take of this kid, who couldn't walk and died of choking on his school lunch, and whenever they are together, everybody thinks they are like a knight sitting on the horse. What is the name of the movie? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.64.55.202 (talk) 00:51, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is The Mighty. The Wikipedia article is just a stub, but the movie poster shows the two kids together, and they do look like a bit like a knight on a horse. The movie's IMDB entry gives more information. One of the boys has the surname Kane. --Richardrj talk email 11:17, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I concur, though I haven't seen the movie, I have read the book, Freak the Mighty and that is how I remember it, although I am not sure about him choking on a sandwich, not sure they said how he died in the book, with 'Killer Kane' being very fond of the round table tales. A hit song with sax solo?

[edit]

Hi,I'm searching for a song from the 80s or perhaps even from early 90s. It is sung by a male, with different sax riffs are the most recognizable parts of the song.

they are like:

daadadadaa daaaa daadadadaa daadaa daadadadaa daaaa daadadadaa daadaa daadaa daadaa

d and a are not musical notes, but its like humming. This song still widely being played on shopping malls etc. The song is slightly fast, perhaps has bongos too and the saxs repeat after the singer finishes a stanza. And the song is not careless whisper by wham. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.201.75.148 (talk) 16:43, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Baker street by George Rafferty? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgwETZKNPZc that is a very famous sax solo and still widely played. The solo plays around 1.40 on this you-tube post (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgwETZKNPZc) - i'm terrible with turning dada into notes. -- ny156uk (talk) 16:49, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Call Me Al, by Paul Simon -- Beekone (talk) 17:22, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for answers. It is indeed baker street!. Iam amazed that you got it right it the first time. How did you guess it?.

It's one of the most played sax-solos I know so figured that would be worth a try, probably the first 'name the song' query i've answered where i've been right!! -- ny156uk (talk) 17:51, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just to point out, it's Gerry Rafferty not George. Sorry to rain on your parade, Ny :) --Richardrj talk email 17:58, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And for an extra 5 points, this [2] is also Gerry Rafferty. -- SaundersW (talk) 19:36, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the Fuhuabeihou (浮华背后) Series, is Luo Liang played by the same character throughout? Or is he replaced by a different actor after his plastic surgery?

[edit]

In the Fuhuabeihou (浮华背后) Series, is Luo Liang played by the same character throughout? Or is he replaced by a different actor after his plastic surgery?

Some people say he just took out his shoulder pads and got a haircut, others say he is replaced by a different actor.

Thanks in advance!-- 207.195.247.110 (talk) 20:02, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
