1970s or 1980's horror movie

[edit]

All I remember, is a group of 20 some year olds were in this haunted house. They came across a 'life sized' clown sitting on a rocking chair in a room. They went by it & eventually came to a closet, opened the door & found a 'life sized' clown there as well & proceeded to jokingly slap it up. Realizing the clown was exactly the same as the other, they looked back to the rocking chair, only to see that it was now empty. GoodDay (talk) 02:27, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe Clownhouse? --Jayron32 15:40, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No. It wasn't kids in the house. They were young adults. GoodDay (talk) 16:44, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Another guess: La casa 3 - Ghosthouse? ---Sluzzelin talk 21:53, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nope. The movie I'm looking for had a group of young adults (between 18-25 roughly) in it. GoodDay (talk) 18:50, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alan Jackson

[edit]

Our article on Alan Jackson, along with some associated pages, is routinely attacked by a vandal who makes edits like [1] and [2]. Reading over the article, I got the impression that he's a rather average country-music singer. Is he somehow really controversial in a way that I missed (i.e. our vandal is part of a group of people that really dislike him somehow), or is our vandal more likely to be unique in his opinions? Nyttend (talk) 03:34, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There's nothing in the recent news about him that's showing up, other than an upcoming summer tour. He's a fairly uncontroversial figure, and a popular, if bland, country singer. He's basically Garth Brooks with a bushy mustache, and a bit more twang. --Jayron32 12:10, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Very strange. If you search Twitter for that hashtag he dropped in a few of his comments, you see a zillion tweets from about three accounts that are clearly all the same person. I'll bet this guy will be back.

Thank you for the description of Jackson. Yes, this guy's quite prolific (he's used sleeper accounts that were created in 2013), so I'm sure he'll be back; it's one good example of WP:3X. Makes me think of Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Catcreekcitycouncil, which for six years has been obsessing with a tiny town in Montana and other articles that happen to share the same name, as well as disrupting in other ways, including giving me my very own attack account. I guess some people just have a hobby of disrupting Wikipedia on the most trivial subjects. Nyttend (talk) 20:56, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
While it's not really about vandalism, I am inevitably reminded of this. (As usual with this strip, hover your mouse cursor over the page after reading, for a bit more.) --69.159.62.113 (talk) 23:34, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
