April 23

[edit]

Dear reviewer, could you please check the citations to my article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/International Translation Contest Littera Scripta. Is there anything else to be added to the article? thank you in advance.Alisavolodenko (talk) 18:42, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I had to decline the article because none of the three sources used appear to be reliable and independent. To establish notability, you need to show that the contest was written about or discussed by third-parties like newspapers, magazines or books. Please add sources like those, and resubmit. Could you please tell me why the website of the Union of Translators of Russia cannot appear to be an independent or reliable source? It is a serious organisation having its branches throughout the country and it by no means can be seemed unreliable or unverifiable. Concerning the second source, it is one of the leading Russian resources providing urgent business information for workers of science and innovation field, of education field, for staff of IT companies, for postgraduates and students. It collaborates with major scientific publishing companies. Why those sources aren't verifiable I truly cannot understand.Alisavolodenko (talk) 10:03, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Let me clarify; both of the first two are reliable sources in and of themselves, but because the Union of Translators of Russia appears to be directly connected connected to the contest, they are not independent. The second source is not much more then a post similar to a press release. What you need are news organizations and the like. The third is a forum and neither independent or reliable. Hope this helps, Nolelover Talk·Contribs 03:20, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am attempting to upload a whole new version of Quantum Field Psychology, which I think answers the prior questions. How do we do this? Thanks, Dr. Ron. Drrondal1149 (talk) 02:31, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I'm a little confused. Is this the version you are trying to submit, or do you have another? Nolelover Talk·Contribs 03:22, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New Page / Article Request on Indai

[edit]

I request that a new page be set up for "Indai" (Note: I do not mean India !). I mean "Indai" (which I understand is part of Bangladesh). I am particulary interested in what happened in the Indai area during World War 2, circa 1944. 60.234.135.251 (talk) 08:26, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Please can you move the current article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pokoasi,_Ghana, TO THIS NEW PAGE- 'POKUASE, GHANA'. This move is requested because the correct spelling of this place is POKUASE, and I have been unable to change the title on the original article to correct it. Thank you. Mr O F Gayle (talk) 15:43, 23 April 2012 (UTC)Wikipedia talk: Articles for Creation/Pokuase, Ghana[reply]

It is spelt Pokoasi on the map, so the title should remain 'Pokoasi' unless there are multiple reliable source that indicate otherwise. I have created a redirect from Pokuase to Pokoasi, Ghana. Pol430 talk to me 16:48, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Adding new entry Peter Baxter

[edit]

Added more references in support of new entry entitled Peter Baxter but notice "error" marks in footer. If necessary, how to correct? Please note these are correct references and their links work. Thank you Villagegreen (talk) 19:05, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The {{cite web}} template requires a field named "title", which you did correctly in the first reference. However, the second through fourth references do not have this field populated- do so and the errors should disappear. Documentation on usage should be provided on the template's page. Hello,

I'm working on creating this article (Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Bath Fitter), and have included several references from legitimate, reliable sources including NYT.com and state government sites. I was wondering what are some ways I can improve this article to help make it into Wikipedia? Thanks for your help! --Upwordsem (talk) 19:55, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Asked and answered at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions#Question on article creation. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 16:12, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have tried 4 times to submit this article for review, and it's still not submitted. What am I doing wrong?Alicemeg (talk) 20:23, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done. You forgot to close a ref tag. A412 (TalkC) 22:43, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How to make a redirect

[edit]

Hi--

I added the page for Christina López. I would like to make a redirect instruction for people who search for the name but don't include the accent in Lopez. I couldn't understand the instructions for where/how to do this.

Thanks,

HGat82ndSt (talk)HGat82ndSt —Preceding undated comment added 20:47, 23 April 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Done - in the future, just add #REDIRECT [[NAME OF PAGE YOU WANT TO REDIRECT TO]] to the article you wan to redirect. In this case, I added #REDIRECT [[Christina López]] to Christina Lopez. Hope this helped, Nolelover Talk·Contribs 03:28, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
