You seem to have gotten the hang of adding footnotes, but there are just a few points (which I've fixed):

The <ref>...</ref> tags should go outside the brackets and after punctuation:

[[Example link]].<ref>(Citation)</ref>

The "title" field is for the title of the article, "work" is for the name of the website/magazine/newspaper, and "publisher" is only needed if it differs from the work. The "last name" and "first name" fields are for the author.

Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Highbury Theatre Centre[edit]

Hi,

I was just wondering if you could help me.

I have recently submitted an article which is now being reviewed, called Highbury Theatre Centre, however in the history my IP address is still visible. I have set up this account afterwards as I didn't want my IP address available. Is there anything I can do in order to remove my IP address entirely from Wikipedia and existing pages?

Jack, all but one of the edits from that IP address is to that article submission. If the submission is declined, then ultimately the article submission will be deleted, which will make the IP edits invisible to anyone except administrators. Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Touching Lives[edit]

Hi,

I'd like to know why my submission has been denied a second time.

I have added more citations which are independent. I'm still being told they do are not "reliable." Not sure, even after reading the article about sources - what is enough.

I've seen plenty of articles that seem to have less "reliable" sourcing that are up on the site. So I guess I'm confused about what the standards are for having an article published at all.

Hi Emcampbe. The basic standard for article notability is Wikipedia:General notability guideline.

Looking at your article submission, all of the references you've provided (except for a youtube video) are either provided by the organisation itself, or provided by its partners and donors. These are not independent by Wikipedia's standards.

The content in the submission also currently seems very promotional; listing of foundational values largely copied from the organisation's own website, and so on. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 10:11, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Seeking some advice. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Draft:Gold Coast Parklands was declined due to notability and referencing. I'm unsure of the next step. It's been an important sporting venue and public space in our City for years, but perhaps it's not a notable enough? A visit to the local library yielded additional resources as there was little available online. Perhaps that's the problem? Any suggestions most welcome. Thanks! Sources don't have to be online to be useful as references in proving notability. In fact, some reviewers would consider significant coverage in a reference book published by a large publishing house to be more use in proving notability than an ephemeral piece on an online news site.

Some ideas for changes:

At present anyone reading the article has to reach nearly the end of the third sentence before learning what Gold Coast Parklands is. This is why suggestions for article drafts often start "Gold Coast Parklands is a..."
Some of your references are bare URLs, and some are just a bare URL with a title. It can help to include more detail, for example author's name, date published, publishing organisation and so on. Using citation templates is one way to do this; see Wikipedia:Citation templates.

If Gold Coast Parklands remains as the venue for a significant part of the infrastructure for the 2018 games, then there's likely to be a steady stream of news articles between now and then. A member of the 1976 batch of the Indian administrative service (IAS), Mr K. Jairaj retired as additional chief secretary to Government of Karnataka. He has held distinguished appointments in the infrastructure, energy, transport and urban development sectors including additional chief secretary, energy department and chairman, bescom; managing director, Bangalore international airport ltd; managing director, Karnataka power corporation ltd; managing director, Karnataka state road transport corporation; commissioner, Bangalore city corporation (BBMP) for two terms; commissioner for commercial taxes and principal secretary to the chief minister.

With N.R. Narayanamurthy chairman emeritus of Infosys, K. Jairaj established the Bangalore international airport limited (BIAL), India’s first Greenfield airport on public private partnership (PPP) basis with Siemens, Germany. Mr. Jairaj served with the World Bank, Washington DC. USA, as senior public sector management specialist in the Africa region between 2004- 2006.

Mr. Jairaj‘s academic background is in economics, public policy and management. He has a B.A. hons degree from Bangalore university; M.A. economics from the Delhi school of economics, M.P.A, Woodrow Wilson school of public and international affairs, Princeton university and M.P.A, Kennedy school of Government, Harvard university, USA, where he was Edward s Mason fellow.

Mr. K. Jairaj is active in the National management movement and served as president, All India management association (AIMA), the only IAS officer to have done so; past president Bangalore management association. Currently, chairman, Bangalore advisory council, AIMA; and on the board of governors, Indian institute of management, Kashipur. He was on the board of governors, IIM Bangalore – (2000-04).

He is associated with several educational and not for profit institutions: • Chairman, iise (Indian institute for sustainable enterprise). • Chairman, board of trustees, Bangalore gayana samaja. • Trustee, BMS institutions and chairman, BMS Engineering College Yelehanka. • President, Association of mentally challenged (AMC). • Working president, Sri Krishna seva ashrama hospital, Bangalore.

Mr. Jairaj holds an adjunct appointment in the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore as Senior Fellow in the Center for Public Policy and is associated with the Manipal Group in the Renewable Energy and Management education initiatives.

K Jairaj has brought out his administrative life in the form of a book 'Jaithra Yathre', which will be released on June 30. Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Café Jacques (band)[edit]

I have submitted this article twice (with a substantial number of changes between the first & second drafts). I am sure there are good reasons why the article is being rejected, however I don't understand what I need to do to resolve the issues. Some points which may be relevant:

An article on this subject had been requested before I became a Wikipedian.

I believe the article satisfies the following:

     A musician or ensemble may be notable if it meets at least one of the following criteria:

5. Has released two or more albums on a major record label (Criteria for musicians and ensembles)

The producer of the albums, Rupert Hine is definitely notable, and this is some of his very fine work.

The band had some (small) success in the U.S. with their second album, which I am still trying to find reliable evidence for.

Like the reviewers, I don't want this article to be included if it is not ready. Whether the article is accepted, at a future date or not, I will be continuing the quest for better quality references. Any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated. "Excellent British studio band whose dense rhythmic mix and melodic keyboard textures recall Traffic's lyricism and Little Feat's syncopation." from the entry for Cafe Jacques (International and Round the Back) in the New Rolling Stone Record Guide, 1983, p. 76 (page 13 of Web Page)

They verify two albums on a notable label. Note that in the US, they were released under the Columbia Records Label. Add them as citations and there's no reason why this shouldn't be moved into article space. Oh and here's another one:

Nicolson, Matt 13 July 2002). "The bands that time forgot". The Scotsman had 4 paragraphs on Cafe Jacques.
Accoding to the British Film Institute. they also appeared on the Old Grey Whistle Test (06/12/1977)

Wrong article decline[edit]

The article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/jEmbryoS was declined as not complaining with notability guidelines. But it completely resembles the situation with another article (jNode) , which was not declined and contains information about a system of the same class - the Java Operating System. No notability differences exist for two systems. Can't find article to edit Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ronald Aronson[edit]

I received a notice that my article revision was not accepted because it contains copyrighted material. The response says that I can find the article at: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Ronald_Aronson&action=edit&redlink=1

It is not there. Please help. And also please tell me specifically what is the copyrighted material I need to delete.

I responded to the comments of Anupmehra concerning the article "Ronald Aronson" by placing all references according to the system indicated in references for beginners as he stipulated, and then removed all references to other Wikipedia articles. The revised and resubmitted article was then read on March 1 but not accepted by Aggie80 because of "copyright violations." I wrote to him and asked him to be specific about copyright violations so that I might remove them.

While waiting for his response, I looked for the March 1 revised article. The comment by Aggie80 had included the following: "If you would like to continue working on the submission, you can find it at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ronald Aronson." The URL was: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Ronald_Aronson&action=edit&redlink=1 So I went there following the instruction: "To edit the submission, click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window." I did that, but all I could find was the message to me typed by Aggie80. And now, after emailing Aggie80 I find that there is no longer an "edit" tab any more. Your article has been deleted, because Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. What you can do is rewrite the article in your own words by going to the articles for creation main page and creating a new article draft. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 20:20, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Review of Reject, reject, reject/Real Cabdriver[edit]

Attempting to contribute to Wikipedia is quite simply a waste of time. Which is ok, but I won't ever use Wikipedia again either. The time to get in was how many years ago? 5, 10, 15? Y'all should be upfront with that, rather than encourage morons like me to waste my time here. Oh, do any of you have the slightest expertise in what I'm interested in? Of course not, so it can't be interesting to anybody, right?

Can you let me know why this article was declined?

I work for the Production Company who created the show (and Moody Christmas) so all episode synopsis were actually written by us but perhaps the refs were not adhering to your policies??

I assume it is 'notable' as Moody christmas is up there and I tried to follow the format and tone of this entry.

Happy to make all the necessary adjustments to get it up.
