03:17:15, 13 May 2019 review of draft by Dianahendricks[edit]

I have submitted my first original wiki page and received the notice that it may take two months to receive feedback. Then a person, Robert McClenon, sent me a message telling me to correct the titles in the proper formatting, which I have done. Do I now need to resubmit the article, or is it still in the queue? Thank you for your help. Dianahendricks (talk) 03:17, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dianahendricks Greetings. You draft is in the queue for review. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:05, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

08:51:26, 13 May 2019 review of draft by Paul Zawilensky[edit]

Hi, I need help in understanding why exactly my draft for the article about the Dubblestandart band, has been rejected and what I can do to solve the issue. The article is in many parts based on the existing article about the Dubblestandart Band on the German version of Wikipedia. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubblestandart and has just been updated with new content. The Dubblestandart Band has a wide array of collaboroations with international known artists from the Reggae Scene as well as a huge back catalog and is signed for more than 17 years to the well known German label Echo Beach. There are countless mentiones in online and printed magazines for the last 20 years! https://www.allmusic.com/artist/dubblestandart-mn0000211873 https://reader.exacteditions.com/magazines/493/search?q=Dubblestandart https://shop.pmedia.de/p_de/catalogsearch/result/?q=Dubblestandart https://www.falter.at/archiv/search?term=Dubblestandart

Please let me know, what exactly the issue is about, so I can update...

Many thanx

Paul

How can i upload the movie image How to upload movie cast posters

Hi Tollywoodcorns. Movie posters and other images used in marketing and promoting the film are copyrighted, so they may not be added to drafts. If the draft is accepted and published as an article, then a copyrighted image may be added to the article provided all ten of the criteria for use of non-free content are met. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:22, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

11:46:29, 13 May 2019 review of submission by Asfabutt2001[edit]

As there is a wikipedia page for Korean Englishman, there are two people who host this youtube channel who are Josh Carrott and Ollie John Kendal. As there already is a page created for Josh Carrott, I am making a page for Ollie John Kendal however it got declined and it saying to create a page like 'Smosh' or 'TwoSet Violin'. I want a page for Kendal as Carrott already has one. Asfabutt2001 (talk) 11:46, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Asfabutt2001. I agree with the reviewers that Josh Carrott and Ollie John Kendal are notable as a duo, but not notable individually. See The Briscoe Brothers and Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo for good examples of articles about duos in entertainment. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:42, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi David,

We submitted the new content to our Draft:Teltonika wiki page and fixed notability issue. Can you take a look or give advice if something is wrong? Best wishes, Teltonika team.

I do not understand the criticism - Please cite your sources using footnotes - I used your template for footnoting. Can you elaborate with a specific example please? Steve Attridge

21:26:30, 13 May 2019 review of submission by PeterMa1234[edit]

Hello,

I was told to include inline page citations for my page--I have done so, citing every claim with factual evidence from a third party source. Some sentences are personal/ biographical in nature and for reason that can not be cited, but it would be unusual to omit this information in a biographical article. Can I please have an editor reconsider my submission. Many thanks. Cheers PeterMa1234 (talk) 21:26, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Respectfully, I just wanted to explain that I had thought that Joseph Lee's lead roles in the TV and film projects "The Miracle We Met" and "Searching," both of which have their own Wiki pages with Joseph listed in the primary cast, would be enough for establishing his notability. Am I correct in understanding that, as an actor and/or fine art artist, more noteworthy work and TV or film credits will be required? And that this page does not qualify as a stub (see link to Sean O'Bryan's page in the cast list of "Searching")?

Would adding the "notability|biographies" tag (with the appropriate brackets) on the draft article alert other writers that might be able to assist in making the article better over time?

Your advice is appreciated as I am still relatively new to this community and working my way through your tutorials.

Thank you! Dtwinlauser (talk) 22:33, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dtwinlauser. With regard to WP:ENTERTAINER, the problem is that The Hollywood Reporter and Korea Times don't mention Lee at all, and Movie Insider mentions him only in the cast list. With regard to WP:CREATIVE, only two independent sources are cited, and they're both about the same mural. Perhaps you can find better sources that talk about his work as an actor more deeply and as an artist more broadly, but it looks like it is WP:TOOSOON, that as you say, "more noteworthy work and TV or film credits will be required".
Stubs are just short articles, they are supposed to meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines just like any other article. Drafts that need other types of cleanup may be accepted and tagged, but if it would have to be tagged for notability it won't be accepted in the first place. A notability tag is basically the first step on the road to deletion, and it would be perverse to accept a draft only to delete it. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:41, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Worldbruce, for your analysis and specific references for my edification! Much appreciated!--Dtwinlauser (talk) 22:42, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is the third time I'm requesting a re-review. I worked for a long time to make edits as suggested by those who rejected the article before, down to a "T" of what they suggested. The reasons for rejecting are subjective and seem to be a moving target. What is notable to one person is not necessarily to another, and it sure seems that Wikipedia allows way more egregious items than the page I am requesting, which has an article about one of the exams offered, which wouldn't exist without this organization. I've cited every source in a professional journal, book, or otherwise I can find, as requested. Thank you for your consideration. Amgray19 (talk) 23:00, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
