04:17:47, 13 November 2020 review of submission by Mindos2055[edit]

I don't understand why the article was declined as the person in question has participated as an actor in a few notable television shows. Mindos2055 (talk) 04:17, 13 November 2020 (UTC) Mindos2055 (talk) 04:17, 13 November 2020 (UTC)Mindos2055[reply]

@Mindos2055: Acting is a job. Lots of people have jobs. Not everybody with jobs are notable, and actors are not by default more notable than other people with jobs. See WP:GNG and WP:NACTOR. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:26, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oshikoya helen (talk) 12:15, 13 November 2020 (UTC) please I need someone help how can i create an article and it wont be deleted[reply]

@Oshikoya helen: it appears that you tried to create aWikipedia article about yourself. While it is not forbidden, it is strongely discouraged. Please note that there are reasons why one might not want to have a Wikipedia article. Now, for User:Oshikoya helen/sandbox, realy, realy never copy content from elsewhere. Even if we can get the legal stuff resolved, 99.9999999999% of the texts not written for Wikipedia are also unsiutable for Wikipedia's uses. If you are realy sure that you still want to attempt to create an article, try following this guide. Victor Schmidt (talk) 14:18, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Oshikoya helen. Help:Your first article explains the process. Creating articles is one of the most difficult, frustrating, and time consuming tasks a novice editor can attempt. If you want to be successful, don't write about yourself, your family, friends, clients, employers, or organizations with which you have a relationship. Always write in your own words, and don't copy material from elsewhere. It's much easier to learn your way around by editing existing articles instead of creating new ones. See the Wikipedia:Task Center for ways to help. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:16, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No evidence of WP:MUSICBIO whatsoever. Wikipedia is not a social network. Victor Schmidt (talk) 14:11, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

13:01:49, 13 November 2020 review of submission by Vlonekleon[edit]

hello i am musican artist, can u publish my wikipedia page Vlonekleon (talk) 13:01, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vlonekleon. No. Unlike social networking sites, such as Facebook or Twitter, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not a place to write about yourself. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:05, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Courtesy link Draft:Itsvlone, there is no indication that topic is notable. Theroadislong (talk) 15:46, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Vlonekleon: I've responded to you twice about this. Stop wasting the community's time asking the same question over and over if you're not going to read the answers. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:32, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

15:40:47, 13 November 2020 review of draft by Menaulion[edit]

I'm asking this question due to a draft I wrote being declined due to a lack of third-party sources. The sources I used are internal documents not held anywhere else, making citing a third party source somewhat difficult, hence why I'm submitting this article in the first place. Menaulion (talk) 15:40, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If there are no independent sources then we cannot have an article. Notability of a topic is judged by looking at the depth of coverage in independent, reliable, secondary sources. Theroadislong (talk) 15:45, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We also can't cite internal documents, as those have not formally been published. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Takes a strong man to deny... 22:39, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

18:25:47, 13 November 2020 review of draft by Wikiweb[edit]

Hello! May I ask you for review of my draft? I'll be very much obliged for this review. Wikiweb (talk) 18:25, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Wikiweb: from a first look, I have two things to note:

Thank you, Victor. Done. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiweb (talkcontribs) 22:36, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

18:35:24, 13 November 2020 review of submission by Theman465[edit]

Theman465 (talk) 18:35, 13 November 2020 (UTC) The subject has became more notable gaining more articles and gaining 25 thousand more followers since the last request and we belive he needs a article so he can further brand himself.[reply]

@Theman465: Lol, Wikipedia is not a social networking or marketing site, so if big man wants to further brand himself, he can pay for a website and pay for marketing and do it elsewhere. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:30, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

20:35:30, 13 November 2020 review of draft by Nschimme[edit]

Dear Wikipedia editors,

I do not understand why the notability rules are being used as a measure for this article. MUDs are older games that predate MMOs and as a whole aren't a very notable genre because of their retro nature. I request that notability measure is revisited in the light that MUME is extremely notable within the MUD genre as shown by the citations. In terms of today's popularity, MUME still draws over 400 active players per month as seen from in-game statistics.

Also, MUME has as much notability as many existing articles that already exist as published articles within the MUD genre. A few examples of other MUDs of similar or lesser notability can be found here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elendor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GodWars https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMAUG https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TorilMUD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AberMUD

A casual glance shows that the standards and citations of the draft article are much higher.

Thank you, nschimme

Nschimme (talk) 20:35, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is not the venue to complain about Wikipedia's notability guidelines - take it up at WT:Notability. You also cannot make a convincing argument based on the existence/absence of content about similar topics. (As to the standards being much higher, that is because drafting naturally enforces higher standards and was not made essentially mandatory until 2018.) —A little blue Bori v^_^v Takes a strong man to deny... 22:36, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

One Nation History (talk) 22:06, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In re Draft:Muhammad Abdulrahman skb We are not interested in a rerun of the Seigenthaler incident. Your draft cites literally no sources, and it reads like some misbegotten press release. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Takes a strong man to deny... 22:28, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Liliesteven (talk) 22:54, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This draft has been rejected and will not be considered further. We are not interested in a rerun of the Seigenthaler incident. We also do not cite social media or anything directly connected to the subject. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Takes a strong man to deny... 22:58, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
