09:59, 8 August 2023 review of submission by Rishabhpathania1[edit]

My Draft is declined Rishabhpathania1 (talk) 09:59, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Rishabhpathania1: yes, it is. Did you have a question you wanted to ask? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:01, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I want to learn how to gather proper refrences for citations? Beacuse Definitely King Rapper is a celebrity in India. But which type of reference wikipedia accepts? Rishabhpathania1 (talk) 10:09, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Rishabhpathania1.
Please carefully read Help:Referencing for beginners and Help:Your first article.
In summary, you need to find reliable, independent, secondary sources that cover your topic in detail, and then summarise them in your own words. That should make up the content of your article draft. Note that the sources must be:
- Reliable: Your article should rely on strong, reliable sources that are published by reputable institutions. Primary sources can be used for basic facts (such as a date of birth), but they should be supplemented with strong secondary sources that offer analysis or interpretation.
- Independent: Your sources should be independent of the subject, for example not self-published or from the subject's own website.
- Show significant coverage: Your subject should be discussed in detail in the sources you find. The sources should provide in-depth information or analysis about the subject, going beyond basic facts or promotional material.
- From multiple places: You should find at least three separate reliable, independent, secondary sources that discuss your subject.
- Not original research: Wikipedia articles should summarise existing knowledge about a subject, not present new research. This means you should avoid drawing your own conclusions or analyses from the sources. Stick to summarising what the sources say in a neutral tone.
Remember that your article should be written from a Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Qcne (talk) 10:13, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

10:35, 8 August 2023 review of submission by Chevsi[edit]

I am struggling with how I can improve this text. This is only my second time creating a wiki page so would massively appreciate some advice. Many thanks :) Chevsi (talk) 10:35, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The personal life section is unsourced. I'm not clear on how he meets WP:BIO. Are you writing about yourself? 331dot (talk) 10:48, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, no I am creating pages for heads in the Catford area. Thank you for your advice. I will try editing that section. Chevsi (talk) 11:20, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest also looking at BACKWARDS. ColinFine (talk) 11:35, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

11:10, 8 August 2023 review of submission by Ryan Saigon[edit]

Hello everyone, I have been submitting my article for more than 4 months and still have no feedback. Please kindly help and inform me if there are actions needed from me Thank you very much Kind Regards Ryan Saigon (talk) 11:10, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As noted on your draft, "This may take 4 months or more, since drafts are reviewed in no specific order. There are 4,262 pending submissions waiting for review." Please continue to be patient, there are a limited number of reviewers for the thousands of waiting drafts. 331dot (talk) 11:13, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ryan Saigon: please remain patient, we have over 4,200 draft awaiting review, and it can take four months or more. (Speaking of which, yours was most recently submitted on 19 April, so it isn't quite quite four months yet; a minor difference, perhaps, but just to clarify.) Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:14, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll note that the entirety of the CAREER & ACHIEVEMENTS section is unreferenced (we also prefer to have lower case for section headings, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style). Every single thing there needs a reliable, independent, reference. Qcne (talk) 11:41, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ryan Saigon, your draft relies far too much on namedropping. A person is not notable and not eligible for a Wikipedia biography just because they have a relationship of some sort with a more famous person or persons. Write well-referenced content about Ximon Lee's actual accomplishments, as opposed to rattling off all the famous people he supposedly knows. As for "Forbes 30 under 30" lists, those kinds of listicles are of no value in establishing notability, since they are the product of PR and promotional activity. We insist on truly independent sources. Cullen328 (talk) 07:13, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

12:03, 8 August 2023 review of submission by S6GHSAM4[edit]

Hello, I have made adjustments on this wikipage, highly referenced, its been 4/5 months since last review. I feel this page should be moved to the main page now, or would welcome any further advice. S6GHSAM4 (talk) 12:03, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As noted on your draft, there are thousands of drafts awaiting review, by a limited number of volunteer reviewers. If you would like a review, please be patient. If you have no experience with having articles accepted, a review is a good idea. However, if you have no conflict of interest with the subject, and are confident the draft would survive a hypothetical Articles for Deletion discussion, you may move the draft into the encyclopedia yourself as this process is voluntary(except for new/IP users, or those with a COI) 331dot (talk) 12:08, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
While you're waiting, I suggest you review the golden rule, and remove all the sources that don't meet those criteria: all the unreliable sources such as iMDB and Facebook, all the commercial sources such as Premire Cinemas, and most of the non-independent sources such as interviews and artic les based on prcess releases. Any sources you remove, you'll also need to remove the information that comes from that source, unless you can find a better source for it. Remember that Wikipedia is not interested in what the subject of an article says or wants to say about themselves, or what their associates say about them. Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with the subject, and who have not been prompted or fed information on behalf of the subject, have chosen to publish about the subject in reliable sources. I have moved Article to mainspace because I was confident to move them. I am writing on Psychology, Psychologist and Mental Health. Kindly look into this article and suggest me, it will help me to progress in writing. Gauravdelhi.wiki (talk) 15:54, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

18:47, 8 August 2023 review of submission by WikiWanderer90[edit]

I do not understand what I should edit here? WikiWanderer90 (talk) 18:47, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiWanderer90: you shouldn't edit; this draft has been rejected. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:53, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

18:51, 8 August 2023 review of submission by Ilghibellinfuggiasco[edit]

It is the first time I write a contribution to the English wikipedia so I would know how to resolve the issue. The article about an Italian composer living in New York City was declined as it looked "promotional", so maybe I did not do something important? I tried to be as exhaustive as I could with this artist I admire and follow. Also the user said she/he is not sure it meets the guidelines on notability. The guidelines talk about reliable sources. I have inserted some sources in the link section - should I insert them as notes whenever something is mentioned? I tried to be as far as I could from "advertising" when writing about the artist, just listing some of the bio notes in my possession. I can reduce the article much more if needed. Thank you in advance for the answer, Barbara Ilghibellinfuggiasco (talk) 18:51, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ilghibellinfuggiasco: this draft is completely unreferenced – where did you get all this information from?
It's not enough to list a bunch of sources in the 'Collegamenti esterni' ('External links') section, you need to cite them if you want them to be references; see WP:REFB for advice. References are required both for verifying the information and for establishing notability, both of which are core requirements for inclusion in Wikipedia. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 19:01, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you a lot. Sorry, I am a first timer. But learning fast! Barbara Ilghibellinfuggiasco (talk) 20:06, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 23:12:36, 8 August 2023 for assistance on AfC submission by Anunarwana[edit]

I tried to create a page but it was declined. Anunarwana (talk) 23:12, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Anunarwana. This is about Draft:Shri Hit Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj. Your draft is pretty much the exact opposite of an acceptable Wikipedia article. It is a hagiography as opposed to neutrally written encyclopedic content. I cannot understand why you would think that language such as Born in the serene village of Akhri, near the historical city of Kanpur, Shri Hit Premanand Ji Maharaj's life is an embodiment of dedication, spirituality, and unwavering devotion. His birth name, Aniruddh Kumar Pandey, might be lesser-known, but his spiritual journey from a young boy to a revered figure in Vrindavan is a testament to his profound faith in Lord Krishna and Radha Rani. And that drivel is only the beginning. Your draft goes on and on and on with the same utterly inappropriate style. If this person is notable (which I truly do not know), then every word of your current version needs to be removed, and new content written with rigorous neutrality.
