"He is the team's all-time top goalscorer, and the second most-capped Ukrainian international behind Anatoliy Tymoshchuk (144)."

That he has 111 caps and is second on the all-time appearance list doesn't appear to be cited, the citation after this sentence in the article leads only to a list of Tymoshchuk's caps - Dumelow (talk) 09:12, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"He made his debut for his country in a 4–0 loss to Croatia in a UEFA Euro 1996 qualifying match in March 1995."

The citation in the article confirms that he appeared in the match but doesn't state that it was his debut - Dumelow (talk) 09:12, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"and captained the side to a second-place finish behind Poland"

Does not appear to be cited in the article - Dumelow (talk) 09:12, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
KingSkyLord, I see that you put the article through the review process. Could you help resolve these issues? If unresolved, we need to pull this; we can't have that many outstanding issues. Schwede66 00:20, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Schwede66, Both of the first two problems mentioned are referenced from the RSSSF list, so I directly referenced them. For the last issue, I just merged that sentence with the next one so it isn't unsourced. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 04:19, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The second point is now fixed. I looked at the RSSF source; could you please tell me how I use it to verify he is the second most-capped Ukrainian player. It just states he has 111 caps, the second reference lists Tymoshchuk as having 144 caps. How does the reader know there are not other players with eg. 120 caps? For the third point the reference you've provided gives the play-off against Germany. How do I verify that the team finished second behind Poland and that Shevchenko captained the side? - Dumelow (talk) 07:09, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
KingSkyLord, there are follow up questions for you but no ping, so here's the notification. Schwede66 10:14, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved this list to 2 January 2023 so that there's time to get to the bottom of all of this. Schwede66 01:00, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
