Something to think about: should {{service record}} replace the (now redundant) fields in {{Infobox Military Unit}}and {{Infobox Military Person}}? Kirill Lokshin 04:11, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On second though, it's not really worthwhile for people. Kirill Lokshin 04:22, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

{{AFV}}[edit]

Conversion is all done. Only talk and project pages link to it now as per [1].--Sus scrofa 13:59, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Putting this template on record as needing conversion to {{Infobox Ship Example}}. Maralia (talk) 20:36, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Noted. :-) Kirill 04:24, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{ADF Unit Box}} conversion questions[edit]

The request is to convert calls of {{ADF Unit Box}} to use {{Infobox Military Unit}}. The instructions matche the ADF   "FEG" entry with a Infobox Military Unit entry. As I started to help with conversions, the units that I found had FEG entries. — ERcheck (talk) 23:51, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The FEG entry isn't meant to have a counterpart. The standard infoboxes only provide the next higher unit; we don't put the entire chain of command into the infobox. Kirill 20:46, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Add aircraft->equipment/equipment_label mapping[edit]

I have amended the conversion mapping for {{ADF Unit Box}} to include the use of equipment and equipment_label=Aicraft in place of aircraft=. I hope this is acceptable to all --Yendor1958 (talk) 11:34, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks fine (although the unit template does have specific aircraft fields, if anyone feels like sorting them by type). Kirill 11:36, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ship articles infobox conversion drive[edit]

WP:SHIPS is currently in the midst of converting all articles under their project scope to a standard infobox: {{Infobox Ship Begin/doc}}. As many of our articles are also Military history articles, I am posting this cross-project notice. Any help is welcome, as always. The articles are tagged on their talk pages in two ways:

Each of these categories currently holds over 500 articles each, and is probably over 1000 for conversion. -MBK004 23:22, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
