The result of the proposal was implement --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 09:32, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Details
[edit]This is a follow-up to the original renaming proposal. Due to changes made to that proposal and to the Wiki after the first round of voting had opened, and errors in the original proposal, several articles that should have been moved were not. This proposal is to rectify this, and move those articles in line with the new de facto standards for article naming. This should be uncontroversial, but I have opted to discuss the move beforehand incase there are any unexpected objections. A vote will only be held on this proposal if there are objections raised during the discussion phase, on which an agreement cannot be reached. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 21:24, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Comments after closure
[edit]What was the reason for the SS-N-23 → R-29RM Shtil and R-29RMU Sineva split? Both are very small articles and both missiles seem to have the same NATO designation.Offliner (talk) 16:11, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- They are still different systems. Several US missiles with less differences have separate articles. The US designation shouldn't be used for the title anyway.--GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 16:18, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Note
[edit]- Scud → R-11 (missile), R-17 Aerofan, Hwasong-5 and Hwasong-6, leaving a general article at Scud
- Due to information discovered whilst conducting this split, I have elected to use the titles R-11 Zemlya and R-17 Elbrus instead of those originally listed. I will cite both names in the articles. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 21:42, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
