Question thread[edit]

Hello, is this consistent with already created articles, or is it also for recently created articles?--Bradford Talk 22:20, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Both should work, since an article would theoretically begin as a stub :) Kingsif (talk) 22:34, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • How long does it last? Do we have to notify somebody is the article needs to be reclassified?--MaoGo (talk) 10:42, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Currently no set end date; unless the article is to be GA/A/FA, I think we can trust everyone to reclassify honestly Kingsif (talk) 14:41, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • how can an article be upgraded by nine classes when there is only stub, start, C,B,A,and GA?--MaoGo (talk) 11:57, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • I've tried to explain it at the top of the section, I don't know if it's clear - the number is a running total. So in the past few days I have worked on 8 relevant articles, and they have each gone up one or two classes. Added together makes 11.
I thought having a 'ladder' for the number of upgrades might be more incentive because it visibly reflects work done, but if it would be clearer to just have a running number of classes upgraded by total next to usernames in the participant section, this can be reworked. Kingsif (talk) 20:19, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oh right, my bad. Yeah maybe a number next to every user would be easier to implement.--MaoGo (talk) 20:54, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

October Initiative: De-stub-athon[edit]

@Bradford, Naturista2018, MaoGo, and ZiaLater: In order to keep things interesting, I've added a new initiative this month: de-stubbing. Basically, I saw that most of the Top and High importance Venezuela articles are still quite low quality, and I feel like this should be the area worked on first! There's now a banner on the WikiChallenge page, and I can come up with some incentives, too. Kingsif (talk) 22:56, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Kingsif: you are doing a great job, I am a little bit busy on this time of the month, I have not been able to join the project. As soon as I ca,n I will try to work on a few stubs, that seems a like a good idea to start.--MaoGo (talk) 11:19, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Kingsif: Thank you, I will try to do the best to help, Best Regards, Naturista2018 (talk) 11:23, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The 50,000 Destubbing Challenge[edit]

Hola a todos,

The summer focus of Wikipedia:The 50,000 Destubbing Challenge is about to start, and from 11 May there will be a focus on the Caribbean, including Venezuelan islands of the Federal Dependencies of Venezuela and Nueva Esparta. Working on stubs here would help meet a Wikipedia target!

Kingsif (talk) 15:33, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Totally looking forward for it! --Jamez42 (talk) 18:23, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
