Smith family donated the land to the state in 1969. It contains over 200 acres (81 ha) of protected land and is used for hiking, birdwatching, picnicking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.[1] Park trails traverse both forested lands and rocky shoreline, offering views of Casco Bay and the Harraseeket River.[2]
