You might be able to search for your interest areas using Google --- add 'site:wikipedia.org' without the apostrophes to limit the results.

The short answer is: Yes. Inline references to support the text of an article give source information and prove the text is not 'Original Research' (see WP:OR). External links are of limited use ... see WP:EL.

De-orphaning and wikilinking[edit]

Hello Fred Pendleton. Thanks for your efforts at de-orphaning articles. However when doing so, please take care to ensure that articles that you are wikilinking do actually have a connection in real life. Things having the same name is not an assurance of this. For example, I have had to remove all the links you added in order to de-orphanise Abbott Street, as the article subjects have no real-life connection and the linking would merely have baffled readers. I've noticed you added a lot of references to articles recently besides de-orphaning them, so I thought you might like to join our wikiproject! Just one quick note: make sure your references are reliable and are not based off of Wikipedia. There are a lot of websites out there that copy articles from Wikipedia, but we can't cite those. That's why I had to remove your reference to James A.C. Brown because the Trueknowledge website cites Wikipedia as a source. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
