Unblock IP address

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 2001:B07:A3E:1E49:B824:122B:41F:16F9. Place any further information here: I was able read about the reason this IP address was blocked (FASTWEB-INFRASTRUCTURE-LOOPBACK (Fastweb, AS12874)). Fastweb is my internet provider and I'm not affiliated with them in any way other than being a user. Thank you in advance. YSec (talk) 13:06, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Well, it's not the connection or lack thereof that matters, it's the way they configured their server, which I agree you would have no control over. Procedurally, I must decline since you are not directly blocked. I recommend going to WP:IPECPROXY and following those instructions to request IP block exemption. — Daniel Case (talk) 05:41, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Sandbox copies of articles

[edit]

Hi, while I was updating links to categories that have been renamed, I noticed that you have been working on several copies of live articles in user sandboxes. E.g. your sandbox2 is a revision of Teen Wolf (2011 TV series).

The Wikipedia guideline WP:User pages#User pages that look like articles says that user pages should not be used indefinitely to host users' preferred versions of live articles.

You appear to be a competent editor, so why are you only editing in user space? E.g. does the IP restriction (referred to above) stop you from making edits to live articles, so that you need help to copy your edits into the latter? – Fayenatic London 21:30, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
