Achyuth (1960 - 26 December 2002) (born Kunapareddy Achyutha Vara Prasad) (కూనపరెడ్డి అచ్యుత వరప్రసాద్) was a Telugu film and television actor.[3] He acted in over 50 films, and 50 tele serials. He received five Nandi Awards in his career. He died of a heart attack on December 26, 2002. He is notable for his supporting roles in the films like Thammudu, Bavagaru Bagunnara?. He also played lead roles in popular Telugu TV serials like Antharangalu, Anveshita.[4]

Personal life

He was born in Machilipatnam, Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh to Koonapareddy RamaRao and Koonapareddy Sujatha. He has two brothers and two younger sisters. He was married to Ramadevi and had two daughter's, Sai sujatha and Sai sivani.

Acting career

He made his debut as an actor with the film Taj Mahal but the first release was Mangalyabalam.[5] He was quite popular with serials like Himabindu, Antarangalu, Anveshitha, etc. He acted with stars like ANR, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Mammootty, and many other actors.

Producer

He produced ANR, Krishna (actor) in serials along with Pradeep, Ashok, Kadambari kiran.

Political views

He supported then chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in campaigning for TDP.

Death

He died of a heart attack at age of 41 and took his last breath on December 26, 2002. Many people involved in film and television industry came to see him as he was not only a good actor but also a courteous man who made many friends by his character.[3] [6]
