Backpackers Express was a proposed airline to have been based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was established in December 2003 proposing a long-haul, low-fares operation using two dry-leased Boeing 747-400 aircraft. Proposed destinations included Delhi, Bangkok, Munich and Manchester. By April 2005, the airline had failed to launch, and investors withdrew funding, leading the company to close down.[1]
