Queen consort of Aragon
Eleanor of Portugal (Portuguese : Leonor Portuguese pronunciation: [liuˈnoɾ] ) was Queen of Aragon as the wife of King Peter IV . She was born as a Portuguese infanta , the youngest daughter of King Afonso IV of Portugal and his first wife, Beatrice of Castile .
Eleanor married Peter on 15 November 1347. After a year as queen, she died in Jérica , succumbing to the Black Death .
