'Fire in the Hole' is a rock song written by the group Van Halen for their 1998 album Van Halen III.

Recording[edit]

The song was recorded using a custom Peavey Wolfgang guitar, outfitted with a Steinberger Trans-Trem.

Release[edit]

It is one of three singles issued for the album, all issued in 1998. The song was featured in a well-known scene in the movie Lethal Weapon 4 in which a madman with a flamethrower sets fire to police cars.

Music video[edit]

The music video (directed by Rocky Schenck) for this song also includes scenes from the movie Lethal Weapon 4.
