Independent Members of Parliament Caucus (IMPC) was a group of members of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska from 1992–1996, led by Milorad Dodik, which later evolved into the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats.
The IMPC was established from the caucus of members of the Parliament of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina of Serb origin elected in 1990 from the election list of the Union of Reform Forces. These representatives joined the Serb members of the same legislative body that abandoned it in 1992, after the majority of representatives (mostly Croats and Bosniaks) decided to hold the Referendum for Independence of Bosnia and Herzoegovina.
The Serb members of the Parliament of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the members of the IMPC established the Assembly of Serb People of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that was later renamed National Assembly of the Republika Srpska.
The absolute majority of the newly-founded National Assembly of the Republika Srpska was from the Serb Democratic Party. The IMPC were the only parliamentary opposition from the founding of the National Assembly through the first post-war elections (see War in Bosnia, Dayton Agreement) in September 1996.
