Inspiration is a Fantasy-class cruise ship for Carnival Cruise Lines that was introduced in 1996. Prior to December 2011, she sailed four- and five-day itineraries to the Western Caribbean from Tampa, Florida. Currently, she sails three- and four-day itineraries from Long Beach, California, to Catalina Island, California, and to Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.[citation needed]

[edit] 2007 Evolutions of Fun upgrade

As of November 2007, refurbishments have been completed on board the Inspiration. The enhancements include completely redesigned interior decor, newly refurbished show lounges, bars and public spaces.

Inspiration sailed one four-day itinerary and two five-day itineraries from the Port of Tampa, Florida, before relocating to Long Beach, California, to sail three- and four-day itineraries to Catalina Island, California, and Ensenada, Mexico, replacing the Carnival Paradise.[citation needed]

On December 17th, 2011, the Carnival Inspiration arrived in Long Beach harbour at around 9:00 AM after a two week cruise through the Panama Canal.

Inspiration is currently in fleet as of 1/20/2012
