Louisiana Highway 972 (LA 972) is a state highway in Louisiana. It spans 2.29 miles (3.69 km), serving Pointe Coupee Parish.

Route description [edit]
LA 972 begins at an intersection with LA 1 and follows the levee along the Morganza Spillway. LA 972 ends briefly at an intersection with LA 419. It is signed as a motorcycle route from LA 1 to LA 419.
LA 972 is an undivided, two-lane road for its entire route. Before the 1955 Louisiana Highway renumbering, LA 972 was known as State Route 1372.
