"Mucky Fingers" is a song on the British rock band Oasis' sixth album, Don't Believe the Truth, written and sung by the lead guitarist Noel Gallagher. The song has been noted by some[who?] to bear a striking similarity to The Velvet Underground song "I'm Waiting for the Man", which is on their first album, The Velvet Underground and Nico (1967). Terry Kirkbride plays drums on this song. The song also has some resemblance to the Bruce Springsteen song "Badlands".[citation needed]

Noel Gallagher has commented on the song: "The result of one too many nights in the dressing room, brainwashing Gem with The Velvet Underground then thinking "Fuck it! Dylan rules!"[1]

The song was played by Oasis live on the Don't Believe the Truth Tour.[citation needed] Noel Gallagher later added the song to the setlist of the High Flying Birds Tour.[citation needed]
