Paratdih is a census town in Giridih district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

As of 2001[update] India census[1], Paratdih had a population of 6,643. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Paratdih has an average literacy rate of 42%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 52%, and female literacy is 32%. In Paratdih, 22% of the population is under 6 years of age.
