After spending years playing in many popular bands in the LA/Orange County music scene, Robert Holmes joined the studio and post production communities in Hollywood before being invited to become a part of a small company in the hills of Yosemite called Sierra On-Line. There he joined Sierra’s stellar composer group, who provided many of the groundbreaking and legendary early adventure game scores and soundtracks. While at Sierra, Robert’s work included Hoyle Classics, Gabriel Knight: Sins of The Fathers, Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within and Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of The Scared, Blood of The Damned. Additional notable game scores have included Jane Jensen’s Gray Matter, Lola and Lucy’s Big Adventure, Moebius: Empire Rising and Gabriel Knight Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition.

Other musical performance and production activities have included work as a writer, member, and Producer for The Scarlet Furies, recording, performance, and production work with Steve Lukather, Leon Russell, Rusty Anderson, Jim Messina, Peter Asher, Nik Venet, Sting, REO Speedwagon, Alan Pasqua, Andrew Murdock, and The Zombies.

Holmes is the co-founder of Pinkerton Road Studios, a game development studio created with his wife Jane Jensen, and run from their farm in Lancaster County, PA. Holmes has a daughter, Raleigh Holmes, from a previous relationship, with whom he performs in the band The Scarlet Furies, who has performed songs and voiceover for several games. He is married to Jane Jensen, the creator and designer of the acclaimed Gabriel Knight trilogy.
