Dubai Police Force Relevance?[edit]

At the end of the first section we're told the i8s been purchased by the Dubai police force. Is this really relevant in this current position for even in this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.44.193.219 (talk) 01:31, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You are absolutely right, as per the Manual of Style the lead should only include a summary of the key facts presented in the article. I removed that content. --Mariordo (talk) 03:36, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested redirect[edit]

As the BMW i8 (along with the i3) is now a car that will get built may I suggest that the redirect for VED get redirected to BMW i8 rather than the other way around. Bjmullan (talk) 19:14, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I fully agree with your proposal, just as the BMW i3 was recently moved from Mega City Vehicle.--Mariordo (talk) 20:23, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved to BMW i8. Favonian (talk) 16:03, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BMW Vision Efficient DynamicsBMW i8 – The initial concept was called Vision Efficient Dynamics but the car has an official name now. I am unable to do the move as the page already exists as a re-direct but has history. This page should become a re-direct to BMW i8. Bjmullan (talk) 17:37, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support The concept is no longer relevant, and now the pre-production vehicle was unveiled, notability goes to the BMW i8, so the article should be moved/renamed, just like it was done with the BMW i3. Because the new page is not empty, the move should be done with the assistance of an admin.--Mariordo (talk) 04:22, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

i8 Roadster in Japan[edit]

Sorry, no time to work on it but i8 Roadster seems to be current model in Japan from now. https://www.bmw.co.jp/ja/all-models/bmw-i/i8-roadster/2017/bmw-i8-roadster.html Tõnu Samuel (talk) 08:40, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also needs details on Roadster https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/global/article/attachment/T0279413EN/404751 (Roadster specs) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.31.154.248 (talk) 10:43, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Should add usable capacity of 2018+ 11.6KWh model[edit]

Battery pack energy capacity increased from 7.1KWh (5.1KWh usable) to 11.6KWh (9.4KWh usable) for 2018+ models. The usable capacity of the 11.6KWh pack should be added to the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.193.254.87 (talk) 06:23, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
