relative article length remark[edit]

Why on Earth is this on Wikipedia? The 'reference' given only gives a passing mention to the dog, and doesn't establish notability at all. Blast 09.04.07 0352 (UTC)

It's a sad thing to see the article on this dog is much longer than the article on the president of Suriname, Ronald Venetiaan. Could we at least merge the articles on Bush his pets into one? Baldrick90 (talk) 14:22, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First Dog?[edit]

First Dog should redirect to List of United States Presidential pets, not this current First dog, or first pet. But moving everything is a big project. ~ GoldenGoose100 (talk) 19:29, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed and done. It wasn't difficult. Шизомби (talk) 00:20, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"Barney has also been criticized by Russian President Vladimir Putin who feels a world leader should own large macho dogs not smaller breeds such as the Scottish Terrier.[2]
"On November 6, 2008, Barney bit Reuters news reporter Jon Decker.[3]"
No causality?   Justmeherenow (  ) 00:04, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barney attacked a reporter[edit]

should that be added to this "article" to make it a bit less propagandaish? Rcollins03 (talk) 10:50, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality[edit]

Is it correct to write nationality in an article about an animal? I think animal don't have a nationality! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.201.137.96 (talk) 21:34, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lazy journalese.[edit]

Okay, I concede. the dog "battled" with lymphoma after all. Ridiculous lazy journalese. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.170.234.62 (talk) 23:33, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

wikipedo[edit]

If there is an article about a dog for no merit that being owned by the president of one country, then Wikipedia should have individual articles of ALL the dogs owned by any president of any country.

And since cats are not less worth than dogs, then you should do the same with cats.

And well, who said a hamster is less important than a cat? Or a rat? I mean I guess you can make an article about a tie owned by some president of some country, or about the cigars smoked by other, is just that Wikipedia seems tilted all the time in the same direction, and it is starting to stink. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.244.1.78 (talk) 22:33, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
