Concerns regarding bias[edit]

I got rid of much obviously biased material, which was not NEUTRAL at ALL! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.190.24.217 (talkcontribs) 17:03, February 23, 2006 (UTC) I edited a sentence in the "deliverance vs. exorcism" section to neutralize bias. Many not charismatic[edit]

Many deliverance ministries today are not charismatic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lcmari (talkcontribs) 01:39, March 14, 2006 (UTC)

Terminology[edit]

In fact, deliverance is the term now used in the Church of England and Church In Wales to describe a broadbased ministry which includes exorcism. {{Subst:unsigned|159.28.19.215|17:00, May 30, 2006 (UTC)

Image[edit]

The lede image seems inappropriate for this topic and should be removed in my opinion if a better one cannot be located. Nikolaih☎️📖 05:37, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Assuming this user means the image at the top of the article, currently [this], I agree with its removal/replacement. An image depicting a satire of deliverance practices (according to the current caption) is no more appropriate than, for example, headlining Forrest Gump (film) with a still from a nighttime television show episode in which the film is being lampooned. In the latter case, a reader unfamiliar with the film would likely be primed with an NPOV expectation of the film. The same priming could be at play here. --50.110.164.174 (talk) 17:21, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Invert the article?[edit]

This article feels inside-out to me, with Wikipedia treating the concept of deliverance as subordinate to the associated ministry rather than the reverse. What would others think about moving it to Deliverance (Christianity), reorganizing it to be about the concept (perhaps with a reference to and expanding on the pertinent phrase in the Lord's Prayer and its interpretation), and then setting coverage of deliverance ministry within that? I'm satisfied with the way it is. Darlig 🎸 Talk to me 23:35, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
