Neutrality[edit]

Most of this information was taken from the schools website (although it is good information nonetheless). Please do not just delete the whole article (I know there are a lot of losers on Wikipedia who would/will). This information should only be used as a starting point although since it was (partially) written by the school's administration it is intended to make the school look good. (Not that it isn't) One last thing is that if you want to help you can always compare this article to Malvern Preparatory School and Saint Joseph's Preparatory School. • I'm just going to trim most of the stuff about the Piarists out. There's another article for that stuff. I also think that we should try to discourage immature Devon middle schoolers from editing this article. They'll be too biased, and we'll end up having to go through this NPOV thing for a long time. • What are the outstanding neutrality issues with this article about Devon Preparatory School? The only two comment about neutrality are over four years old!!! Please comment with suggested edits for article neutrality improvement.Wa3frp (talk) 00:10, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome[edit]

This article is totally true. Trust me, I go there. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rlitch (talkcontribs) 16:36, 10 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

  • This article is copied and pasted right form the school's website. I know. I go there too, Litch. And you spelled "awesome" wrong.Sparkiplasma 02:53, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Fixed the word "awesome". Been bothering me for a while.

Cleanup[edit]

How about more info about the school programs themselves instead of just a campus tour and a piarist history? -questionmark824

  • Please sign pages with four tildes. I hate reminding n00bs that. And The page still totally sucks. Again, compare it to malvern's and st. joe's pages. Sparkiplasma

I'm going to have to lead the cleanup of this article. What needs to be done right now is we need to get a list of notable alumni from the school. We also need to find out if the vandals do, in fact, as suspected, go to Malvern and St. Joe's. Sparkiplasma 13:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Y'know what we actually need?...A full-on war with those school's wikipedia pages!!!!! YEAH, Devon Pride!! (I'm kinda kidding....although a wikipedia war WOULD be incredibly fun, someone probably should start one.)DxPatxb

yeh lol DEVON PRIDE lol--DrxOA1000 01:37, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • They do go to malvern, now I just need top figure out how to report them. Sparkiplasma 13:10, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, this is old, but bad idea. They do happen, and they end up with everyone blocked. You can report vandalism at WP:AIV, or just tell me. Prodego talk 03:54, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't it say that the athletic fields can hold to concurrent soccer games, not two consecutive ones. One would assume that most single fields could hold one game after another. And does it make that mistake on the Devon website? If so, can someone at Devon have JLo, or whoever is in charge of that stuff, correct it? 128.220.155.166 (talk) 18:58, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

Hey I know its not a big deal but I added a redirect page from "Devon Prep" so that people dont have to go through the search results to find it. Are there any other redirects needed? I think the article could use a little more about the school programs and activities as opposed to campus and history. anyways, ROLL TIDE!! -questionmark824

  • Hey, an immature middle schooler actually did something good with the redirects! we don't need any more. I think the article shouldn't focus on extracurricular activities, because for the most part they suck. The only one worth mentioning is the cross country team.Sparkiplasma 13:14, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Um, FYI, he's a junior.

Athletics[edit]

Almost everything in the "Athletics" section should be removed. Facts about small school clubs are not verifiable, as there are no independent reliable sources. Just because it is 'true' does not mean that it should be included; see WP:TRUTH and WP:NOTDIR.  Chzz  ►  02:39, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alternately, separate Athletics and Activities into two sections. There are independent sources from local newspapers and the League to verify the athletic teams records and standings. The proposed new Activities section could be called "Student Life" or "Selected Student Activities" and simply summarize and condense what is currently listed.Wa3frp (talk) 01:26, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
