The "de" in de la in French names is typically uncapitalised. The article for this French-Swedish architect is written with a lowercase de in both frwiki & svwiki. Tomas e (talk) 11:55, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Seeing as how the French, Swedish, and German Wikipedias all use de la Vallée, we might as well be consistent. It would be nice to find out first-hand from the subject, but since he's been dead for more than 300 years, I don't suppose we will ever know. •Life of Riley (talk) 04:33, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support and fix the de la Gardies while we're about it. Confusion arises because it can be De la Vallée when omitting the first name. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 06:12, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
