What Alloy?[edit]

"It was an all-alloy [...] design" - While it may be obvious to a motorhead what is meant by this, the general public reading an encyclopedia needs an explanation. My guess is, that the cylinder block is made out of some kind of cast aluminum? Also what does "all-alloy" even mean? I suppose they still needed quite a bit of steel for cylinder sleeves, piston rings, shafts, valves, bearings, ... --BjKa (talk) 08:37, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
