Casino data[edit]

If this is a list of hotels, why the casino data? Vegaswikian (talk) 07:03, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The finances data should be cleaned up and moved, the analysis could be summarised on the Las Vegas Strip article. I can see merit in retaining a list of hotel revenues, either in a separate list or just by incorporating it as an additional column in the existing hotel list/table. Casino revenue would perhaps be better placed at at a new List of Las Vegas casinos by gaming revenue article or similar. The list is currently titled as Strip hotels, and many of the hotels/casinos mentioned in the finances sections are not Strip hotels. Johnwalton 09:37, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I moved the casino data to LV Strip (Nevada gaming area). Since the various gaming areas may wind up getting articles, it make sense to use the state terminology, I did the dab since many of these would be ambiguous or confused with the area itself. If anyone really has a problem with this it can be moved but probably should be discussed so that we have a naming strategy for these. I'll also note that over the years, there have been requests to expand the strip article to include the adjoining casinos. This new page may serve that need. Personally I think that this page needs a lot of work! Vegaswikian (talk) 23:09, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Featured list?[edit]

If we finish adding images, and drop the casino stuff at the end and fill in the note section with key milestones and add a few references, this could easily become a featured list! Vegaswikian (talk) 17:29, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Starting order[edit]

I'm thinking about changing the starting order to be based on the physical street number. This sort is not available and the current by open date sort can be generated since that is one of the sortable fields. Objections? Vegaswikian (talk) 01:02, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Expand[edit]

I think this would be much more encyclopedic if it included defunct hotels as well, and not restricted to the Strip but the surrounding areas, too. Jmj713 (talk) 16:32, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Harmon[edit]

Harmon should be removed from the list. It was never completed and it's in the process of be demolished due to structural defects. Demolition began June 2014. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.8.202.135 (talk) 15:35, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
