Updated website and Official Logo section[edit]

I'm from this school, and they recently updated the school's website from www.lsi.edu.ph to www.lsqc.edu.ph. The section Official Logo's reference is from a page in the old website, which has no equivalent in the new website. However, I have a copy of the school's 2015 edition of the Student Handbook which basically has the same information although it has no online copy. Is it okay to still include the section in the article when the website no longer works? If not, is there any way to cite the handbook as a reference? --J-Ronn (talk) 13:01, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for editing the article. The old site may still be accessible using the Internet Archive:Wayback Machine. Also print resources not available online maybe used. The handbook may be primary source though so used it with caution, like for the school's history and don't copy paste, copyedit (paraphrase) the content. Resources independent from LSQC is best. Be careful of editing the page so it doesn't sound promotional (like it entices people to enroll or looks like an alternate official website/profile of the school) and the school must be discussed in a "secular" way even though the school is a Catholic school. Also Use "Cite" and the citation "Templates" and fill out any relevant info.
Also Wikipedia:Schoolcruft and WP:WPSCH/AG are helpful resources for editing school articles although the former is more of an essay than a guideline.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 14:27, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I found the page of the old website containing the official logo thanks to your reply. The section is actually copy-pasted, which I have actually done on July 2014 since I had little knowledge of Wikipedia's policy. The revision of the article from 10:26, 15 July 2014 which was the article before adding the copy-pasted content from the old website doesn't appear to be copied. Should I replace it with the old content?
Oh, and I was actually going to upload the logotype header from the website (without the logo, just the text) under the c:Template:PD-textlogo license to be placed at the bottom of the infobox (like File:UP logotype.svg and File:University of Santo Tomas logo.svg). I'd like to ask if this is considered promotional. The text doesn't contain a mission-statement but has the words "Catholic, Filipino, Marian, Capuchin Franciscan School" in it. Is it okay to be uploaded? --J-Ronn (talk) 15:29, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, I think its not promotional just because a logotype had a slogan/motto. The promotional issue concerns more of the article text than logos used in infobox. And yes you should replace/reword the copy-pasted text or revert to the older version.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 15:45, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
