Merger[edit]

Actually I am not sure whether the merged article should end up at Monte di Pietà, Mont de Piété or Montes pietatis. I’ve only ever heard it in the Italian form and naturally generalised that to guess that most people will expect to find it there. Britannica Online uses the Latin. —Ian Spackman (talk) 09:13, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that a merger of the two duplicate articles should take place, with the name to be agreed by experts in the subject. -- MightyWarrior (talk) 11:46, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In the singular, as most titles in Wikipedia are meant to be, this would be Mons Pietatis. No reason to have a French name for an institution organised by Franciscans, and first in Italy. I feel as though I'm in a minority creating redirects so articles don't get lost. None of these are very good, btw. --Wetman (talk) 12:23, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
