Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Winny the Pooh[edit]

Don't forget that Winny the Pooh was written, in part, in Porter County, Indiana, after Beatrix Potter moved there from the UK. --Wloveral (talk) 23:51, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Winnie the Pooh was not written by Beatrix Potter, but by A. A. Milne. Omnedon (talk) 00:33, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Oops. My built-in google is now 60 years past reading those books. Sorry. You are so right, but growing up in LaPorte, Indiana, we kids were told that Winnie the Pooh was in the next county over.--Wloveral (talk) 01:47, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Restructuring[edit]

I'm proposing to remove the cemetery listing and replace it with a short summary and using the deadlink I added to have the detailed listings for the cemeteries. This will still provide the list, but remove it from the details in the county article.(Chris Light (talk) 16:54, 4 May 2009 (UTC))

Cemeteries[edit]

The section says that the earliest cemetery in Porter County was Bailly is not true. Maplewood, next to Graceland in Valparaiso, has burials from the 1700s and Bailly was not started until the 1800s. RainbowOfLight Talk 06:27, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
