Lettuce production in China[edit]
- ... that China is the world's leader of lettuce production (pictured), producing approximately half of the world's lettuce?

The article generally seems ok but it could use some polish. For example, the hook phrase in the article — "The country has long been the leading lettuce producer in the world" — is sourced to a marketing organisation which is focussed on the USA, not China. That seems weak when one can find a better source like this instead. The hook also seems a bit ungrammatical and the article could use some copy-editing — for example, paring not pairing. Note also that the lion dance involves "plucking the greens" which, in my experience, is usually lettuce. Perhaps there's a better hook there? - Reference changed as suggested. 'Piaring' changed to paring. The article on Lion dancing does not conclusively mention the dance form to lettuce plucking. Done some c/e and changed the hook to the following.--Nvvchar. 20:35, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
