Thank you for interesting facts about an interesting woman, on good sources. The hook is sourced, but it says nothing about her Afro-American background, can you add some hint? • Like that. Now the tense, - "was" sounds like it's past, but she will forever be the third, no? How about "became". • Thank you, Gerda. Yes, I deliberately set the Authority Control that way because there is no current Wikidata entry for Yolanda Wisher. I have never created a Wikidata entry before. Should I try to do that? Dorevabelfiore (talk) 17:13, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

• I don't know. When I create an article, a Wikidata entry is created "automatically", sometimes sooner than I want (before I can link with an existing one in another language), - I don't know how. I am surprised that there is no entry for her. VIAF is better on Wikidata, in case someone translates. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:22, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

• I checked in with a colleague who is a Wikipedian-in-Residence (User:Mary_Mark_Ockerbloom). She created a Wikidata entry for Yolanda Wisher, but thinks that some process has to run in the background before the identifiers get populated. I did not want to manually add the VIAF into Wikidata, but I can check back in a week or so to see if VIAF is there. Dorevabelfiore (talk) 13:35, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

• According to a viaf info page: "An automated process, VIAFbot, adds appropriate VIAF identifiers to Wikipedia articles (and via this channel VIAF identifiers become part of Dbpedia and Wikidata representations of Wikipedia content)." In any case, the viaf issue is unrelated to the DYK being ready to go, so this part of the discussion in no way restricts the confirmation given above, and I'm reconfirming the check above in case the discussion caused any confusion. • There needs to be an inline citation at the end of every sentence in the article that pertains to the hook. "...spoken word artist who focuses on the African-American experience." in the lead has no citation and I couldn't find this backed up by the preceding source from Temple University. The original hook may still be used if this sourcing issue is fixed. Jolly Ω Janner 08:24, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
