Physical properties of thiocarbonic acid

Thiocarbonic acid is an inorganic acid which is related to carbonic acid. Its chemical formula is H2CS3.

It can be synthesized through the reaction of hydrosulfide and carbon disulfide:

CS2 + SH → S2CSH
S2CSH + OH → CS32− + H2O[1]

Thiocarbonic acid decomposes when heated:

H2CS3 → CS2 + H2S (g)
