Sakshama is the annual national level technical & management festival of Engineering College Bikaner, India. Sakshama is generally held in the month of october for four days. It provides a perfect platform for building technocrats & managers to launch themselves to glory.

History[edit]

The idea of organizing Sakshama was given by a charismatic student AKM Aashish Kumar Maheshwari in 2007.To make a headstart with a event from a small town of India was indeed difficult.Moreover the infrastructure of college was not enough to match the sky high planning done by students.But like all the ships even our did roil & pitch in the sea but it studied itself with a miraculous speed.With the growing popularity & a wholehearted effort of the students ,soon the idea which was on paper started its formation in the real world.This was how Sakshama 797 came into existence in October 2007 under the proficience of Principal Prof. MP Poonia.

Sakshama a Concept[edit]

Sakshama an epitome of self-reliant सक्षम.The tag line reads aloud : हम है सक्षम,कुछ कर दिखाएंगे.It's an appropriate word which provides zeal to an individual to churn himself & recognize his strengths. Sakshama logo depicts a character that hold the planet in its limbs which reflect the trait of ECB.This shows that the college has the ability to conquer the world.

Event Structure[edit]

The event structure of Sakshama is divided into a number of modules that envelope various aspects of technical form.These modules are namely:
Abhivyakti : The literal translation of ABHIVYAKTI is one's ability to express his ideas ,thoughts & feelings.This event would allow the participant to showcase his creativity.The events in this category are :

Chakravyuh : In this event we would test the software handling ability of the participant,This would be fun event twisting every nerve of the participating team.

Prabandhiki : Thie event would deal with the budding tycoons of tomorrow.Figuring out entrepreneurs in every field of business management.

  • Dalal Street : A virtual stock market event.
  • Adverto : To create an advertisement
  • Business Mania : A business plan competition.
  • Bizz Buzz : A quiz for the battle of supremacy

Abhidhaanam : Its all about designing & creativity.Open the window of your mind & look at the brighter side to feel the change.

  • Cadzo : A design competition in photoshop & corell.
  • CAP : Core animation programming in common languages.
  • Click : Photography & videography competition.

Samartha : Show your ROBOCRAZE.

  • Robosoccer : A football match to be played by machine
  • Indian Pirates : To make ships which can collect the treasure over sea.
  • Under water soccer : A football match played by machines submerged in water.
  • Aqua race : Machine wading their way through the water

Spandan : Test your geek Quotient.the literal meaning of word Spandan is 'heartbeat'.

  • Midi-tech : Technology to cure.
  • Intelligent Bots : Mind your code.
  • IHC : Calling all the hackers

Srijan : It means to create something new & different on the basis of ones knowledge.

  • Junkyard wars : To create something useful from given junk

Gurukul: Invites school kids to participate.
FOSS Workshop : To celebrate the concept of Freedom , liberty to express yourself ! We believe in freedom and so our deeds would be , parking you to express, talk, code, discuss, hack and learn the virtue and wave the flag of Open Source.
