Citation Style[edit]

Hello - you may have noticed I just reverted your edits to Battle of North Point. I mentioned my reason in the edit summary but wanted to explain here as well. Wikipedia's manual of style allows editors to choose from among various styles of citing & laying out cites in an article. Once this has been established in a given article, the norm is not to change that unless there is agreement among editors on the page to do so. This is fleshed out in more detail at this link: WP:CITEVAR. In the case of your specific change, "Notes" & "References" is a valid reference style, an example of which you can see on the same page I just linked, or more directly here WP:CITESHORT. Please reply here or send me a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Sauzer (talk) 11:37, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
