A tag has been placed on File:Israel Chemicals LTD logo.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Changing a picture in an info box[edit]

I would like to change the picture in an info box of a living person to a more up to date and nicer picture. The old picture has this tag:

File information
Description

English: Majid Jafar addressing the Davos Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum

Source

World Economic Forum

Date

2013-01-23

Author

Mirko Ries

Permission
(Reusing this file)

{{PermissionOTRS|id=2013092510018386|Fæ}}

and the the picture I want to use has this:

File information
Description

English: Majid Jafar speaking at the World Economic Forum

Source

Author

Date

2014-09-29

Author

Alexandre Raffoul

Permission
(Reusing this file)

{{OTRS pending|year=2014|month=December|day=17}}

Can I use the second picture with that tag, or do I have to wait until it gets the permission tag? And how long will that generally take if I do have to wait?? ThanksAzmazaz (talk) 10:46, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You can use it straight away (barring any other reason not to do so). I'll have a look through the OTRS permissions queue and see whether I can find and confirm the permission for you. Yunshui  13:38, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Permission confirmed; File:Majid Jafar Image.jpg has now been updated to reflect its release under CC-BY-SA 4.0. Yunshui  13:43, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Samala Venu, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Samala Venu[edit]

The article Samala Venu has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails notability; 80% of sources used are tabloids and not WP:RS. Remain source insufficient to back up the claims made.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
