Edit summaries[edit]

Please be more polite in your edit summaries. Thank you. DS 00:35, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I have no idea how you ever found that little whimsical article but thanks for your addition, it fits in well. I thought that the next that I would ever hear about it would be from some admin telling me to take it down. Oh well, that may happen as well, but I hope that others like yourself may have so enriched the article by then that it would be allowed to stand. Thanks again for your contribution. --hydnjo talk 05:02, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject France[edit]

The above project has been proposed at the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#France, would be needing some willing helpers to merge and bring together the various active Wiki Projects related to France. Let me know if you have some suggetions or ideas for it. STTW (talk) 16:37, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thought you'd be interested in this as you were the nomintor for the 1st AfD. This already went to a 2nd AfD. If you choose to vote, as always vote however you like. --Oakshade 05:47, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just stopped by to note that Oakshade got here first. Check out the 2X AFD and weigh in is/as you like. Do rememember that one of the initial notability defenses was a specific mention of the upcoming article - I may have gone overboard in addressing notabily by mebtioning wiki in the paper - but there really is no COI here - nothinng for me to gain at all in fact, except that if the articla is AFD'd I'll have to answer all the questions I receive as one-off's. Have a great day--James.lebinski 16:36, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just as a point of information, even if you're the nominator and change your mind during an AfD discussion, you can't close as speedy keep if editors already !voted "Delete", especially if you're not an administrator. In that case the discussion has to run the full course. ~ trialsanderrors 21:15, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed in the edit history that you objected to moving the article to wictionary, so I thought you would want to be made aware that it has been tagged as unreferenced and non-notable. At the moment, the article is remaining on wikipedia. However, if the article is not improved, it may be deleted. Pastordavid 20:13, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article The Wonderfools, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fred Grace[edit]

Hi, I see you took the word 'tragic' out of the article and said 'all deaths, by definition, are tragic. I don't care about the edit but I would disagree with your reasoning. All deaths are not tragic. A man who dies in his bed surrounded by his family at 87 does not die a tragic death. A young man like Fred Grace who dies in the prime of life two weeks after playing in a test match because he slept a night in a damp bed does die a tragic death. Hello, Dangherous. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bumblebee around a Pomegranate a Second Before Awakening.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Dangherous/Stuff. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 01:19, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Fingerhut[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Fingerhut, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Fingerhut is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Fingerhut, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 22:20, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:Wiktionaryleft[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Wiktionaryleft requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Non-free rationale for File:Tugrik.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Tugrik.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:28, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Castell Rock requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Epeefleche (talk) 00:49, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
