Sorted[edit]

I've done some work to the article Sorted including giving it the right title (no '!') and it's Hugo Speer not Weaving! However, you might like to add more to the article Stephenb (Talk) 20:28, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article submitted is a candidate for Speedy Deletion: Hank Cheyne[edit]

A tag has been placed on Hank Cheyne, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Hank Cheyne is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Hank Cheyne. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. --Casper2k3 15:01, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the speedy tag and did a tiny bit of cleanup. The article mentioned what TV series he was on, so to me that's enough assertion of significance to prevent a speedy deletion. Friday (talk) 15:26, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reece Hibberd[edit]

Hi there; I have placed a speedy delete tag on this article. If you feel that this is unreasonable, place a {{hang on}} flag on the article and then explain why deletion is not appropriate on the talk page of the article.--Anthony.bradbury 23:31, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This also goes for the other short biographical article which you have submitted.--Anthony.bradbury 23:35, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted your recent addition to this article, since it made no sense whatsoever. If you want to explain what you mean, please discuss it on the article's talk page. - Lee Stanley 22:15, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article was a non-notable biography according to the criteria set out in WP:BIO. (aeropagitica) 05:01, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Johnny Shentall[edit]

A tag has been placed on Johnny Shentall, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Vgranucci 02:29, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

September 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Peter Andre. However, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article, or any other Wikipedia page, must include proper sources. Thank you. Rodhullandemu 00:50, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Emmak2006! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Matthew Lewney - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Richard Grieve - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 19:43, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Matthew Lewney has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While verifiable [1], I am unable to find reliable secondary sources which provide anything more than a cast listing or passing mention for this actor. Additional sources welcome, as always.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. joe deckertalk to me 14:02, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
