A tag has been placed on List of poker hole card names by Earl requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Some points that may be helpful:

  • Many important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
  • If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to our translation section, to help us improve our foreign LGBT topics.
  • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, peer review and a project-wide article collaboration, all of which you are welcome to take part in. Welcome to WP:NCSH![edit]

Welcome to our North Carolina highways Wikiproject. I see you've had some trouble with starting pages in the past, so I'll give you the rundown on how we do things. Basically, you can go to any state route listed at North Carolina Highway System and either add information to an existing article or create a new article. Remember though, that there's a policy at Wikipedia known as No Original Research, so all the information you add to a page has to be basically common sense or from a source... or it'll eventually get deleted. This website: [1] is incredibly helpful and we use it a lot as a source for things.

We try to keep the same format for all the North Carolina highway articles. Trust me, you don't want to start changing things too much or it'll turn into an "edit war". Check out WP:SRNC to learn some about our war history. Also, if you start an article about a North Carolina numbered highway make sure the name is exactly North Carolina Highway x (where x is the highway number). So don't start an article named "N.C. Route 5" or "North carolina road number 23" or something like that. This is so we can easily find it and so it matches the rest of the articles.

Hopefully this helps. Edit only what you want to. Don't feel bad if it gets reverted, as it looks like some things have in the past. It happens. --Triadian (talk) 21:40, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride!

  • What? Wiki Loves Pride, a campaign to document and photograph LGBT culture and history, including pride events
  • When? June 2015
  • How can you help?
1.) Create or improve LGBT-related articles and showcase the results of your work here
2.) Upload photographs or other media related to LGBT culture and history, including pride events, and add images to relevant Wikipedia articles; feel free to create a subpage with a gallery of your images (see examples from last year)
3.) Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)

Or, view or update the current list of Tasks. This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. Visit the group's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT+ on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!

If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's main talk page.

Thanks, and happy editing!
