You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Thomas Concrete Group AB, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Logical Fuzz (talk) 08:22, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Thomas Concrete Group AB[edit]

Hi, thanks for message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines.
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: international and independent... high-quality... today seen as one of the leading manufacturers of concrete for wide range of applications...
  • Also spammy are the multiple external links to your companies. Just one EL to the main website is permitted
  • it's all about what the company does, little about the company itself. Where are its headquarters in Sweden? How many employees? Turnover? Profits? Has the company ever received negative publicity? Who are its competitors?
  • Your "About Concrete" section, although harmless, is pointless. The article is supposed to be about the company, not the material, and we already have a sourced article on concrete. If you think that article is deficient, improve it there with referenced material.
  • You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.
thanks for reply. I wasn't doubting that you were international and independent, just that you need a reference to support the claim. If you want me to have a look at the article in a sandbox before it goes live, let me know Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:02, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[edit]

I made these edits, mainly formatting.

  • although you have references, you need to put them in the text so we can see what fact each is supporting. Put your reference between a pair of tags <ref> </ref> at the point in the text where you want them to go. The {{reflist}} template I have added will generate the list under the references heading.
  • If references are not in English, add (in Swedish) to the ref
  • high-quality... expertise... commercial knowledge are unsourced pov opinions as it stands
  • I'd move your facts and figures to near the top of the article, since its these that establish notability. Write in continuous prose, not lists (also applies to Competitors).
  • Why not put your concrete plant data in a table? See here as an example.

Upload images here. Note that to be acceptable they must either be your own image, public domain or released via an OTRS request. The last will take time. I don't know what logotype is Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:20, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'll start with the images. See File:Volvo logo.svg for using a company logo. The agency image will not be acceptable since anyone can use any image you place on Wikipedia for any purpose, including commercial (there are some Fair Use exemptions for things like CD covers to illustrate a single article, but they won't apply). Effectively, the agency image will become public domain. I'll have a look at the article next. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:40, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The table ended up at the end of the article after saving, in the edit mode it is in the right place. Pls, help me move it up to the first 'chapter'.
I just can't see how this differs from correctly placed tables. I'm sure it's something simple, but I've tried everything. Try Wikipedia:Help desk
  • How can I make a summary frame with company logo on the right side of the site like here.
Copy the Volvo box and put in your own details. If you can see what you need, Template:Infobox company lists what is available as parameters
  • I placed ref notes, but the list has not been created automatically. Pls, advise.
Fixed, see edit page
If you want to link to another Wikipedia page, you don't need the full url,[[Volvo]] gives Volvo

I think you should put the employee numbers and financial details in the main text as well as the infobox, since these are hard facts that establish notability. Move the page to article space and see what happens Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:11, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you can see a "move" tab, use that. It's optional to go to AFC Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:36, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
